BOUNDARY SURVEYS

EXPERIENCED BOUNDARY SURVEYS

Boundary surveys are most used to determine the legal ownership of a specified parcel of land. They usually require far less detail than a full topographical survey and are therefore plotted at a smaller scale (1:1250 or 1:2500).

CES Surveyors can provide a highly accurate, and prompt, boundary survey service which will prove essential in resolving a boundary dispute, or to assist in re-establishing old boundary lines, and may avoid the need for expensive court costs.

Our boundary surveys can be overlaid onto Land Registry, or historic maps, to determine any variations. Surveys are linked to Ordnance Survey National Grid, which means that title plans for land registration can be easily produced. CES ensure these are compliant with Land Registry requirements and thus can be included in a conveyance document.

Early on in Andrew’s career he spent a period working for the Ordnance Survey. He was tasked with adding to and updating the 1:1250 and 1:2500 national digital mapping. This experience is what gives CES Surveyors the edge when tasked with a boundary survey.

The knowledge of how OS data is captured and represented and how to blend this data with a highly accurate GPS survey is the key to understanding the complex issues that arise with boundary surveys.
